One of the great things about being self-employed is that I can set my own hours. I remind myself of that as it gets past 3:30 AM and I’m still editing photos and video.
But when working on a video like Ethan Roberts’ Home Movie, it’s hard to complain. the video turned out great and I think I may have taken the best photos of my career. I’m often talking about the videos of uncut guys I make, but photographing uncut guys is a huge part of the job. I love the photo aspect of my porn work. I feel like I’ve come a long way since my first photos back in the Real Guys Exposed days. I’ve got a better camera now, I know more about lighting, controls and I even took a photography class along with my blogger pal Tommy Wells.

I usually take from 150 to 400 photos of each guy and I narrow it down to about 50 to 60. Sometimes it’s hard because the photos are great and I have to narrow it down. Sometime two or more photos are great but a little too similar. Sometimes a photos just doesn’t turn out just right. That’s what happened with the photos below. There’s some blur because Gabriel was cleaning up after the shoot. They also aren’t quite erotic enough for the site, but I liked the way they reveal an aspect of making porn. Gabriel was relaxed and had fun with the shoot. He’s smiling, satisfied and vulnerable.

This is my second time photographing Gabriel. The first time was just days before his 21st birthday back in July. He had a shaved chest back then. he looked great, but I like him best unshaved.

I wanted to share these photos since they’re flawed, but fun and show what it’s like when we aren’t trying to act all sexy. (But they’re still pretty hot!)

An open letter to the Mirage Resort in Palm Springs:

Dear Folks at The Mirage,

Thanks so much for hosting us for our Fantastic Foreskin shoot in April. You have an absolutely beautiful resort and a really friendly staff. We were in paradise.
I brought Ethan Roberts and Kieron Knight down to Palm Springs for a day to do our shoot. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. We were all having a blast. We checked in, threw our bags in the room and I grabbed my camera while the guys shed their clothes. I knew I was lucky to have such beautiful (uncut) guys and I wanted to put them in a setting that would do them justice. The Mirage was ideal. We started with photos in the grassy area of the Avalon area. The open space and tall trees provided the backdrop as the guys got to know each other. We moved on the steam room area. Those bricks outside brought some beautiful color to our photo shoot. Of coarse, the real magic was in the waterfall. Looking at the photos, it’s hard to tell we’re in the California desert. It looks more like we made the long trip to Hawaii. But that’s one thing I love about the Mirage: we tropical beauty meets desert warmth and no clothes required!

We paid our proper respects to the penis god and moved on to our video shoot. We stayed around the waterfall as the guys started exploring each other’s bodies. Ethan and Kieron developed quite a fan club in our short time there. And we all became fans of you resort.

Today has been editing day. Editing porn is pretty intense and very draining. It’s a lot like sex. I really want my movies to be great for my members. I love my job! This is a photo of me photographing Ethan Roberts in a San Diego hotel room. (Technically, it’s a video frame grab.) We took off late morning on a Wednesday from West Hollywood and drove to San Diego with an In-n-Out Burger stop on the way. We went directly to San Diego’s nude beach, Black Beach. I really wanted to photograph someone naked on the beach and Ethan was the perfect guy for it. I’ll put the video I took of Ethan in the water up on Fantastic Foreskin soon. I got some great photos and may put them in a book soon. He’s beautiful and that beach is pure paradise. I wish we could have stayed longer, but Ethan was eager to shoot his solo.

I spent my 4th of July weekend working on my site (FantasticForeskin.com). No complaints. I get to dig through videos and photos of foreskin all day. I’m a happy boy.
